New airport opening in panhandle on Sunday

The first flights from the new Northwest Florida Beaches Airport (ECP) in Panama City will take place on Sunday.
Grand opening ceremonies will be held Saturday.

U.S. Customs promises to make eAPIS easier to use

Small airplane crashes in Clearwater

A small plane crashed into the back yard of a home in Clearwater today moments after taking off from Clearwater Air Park.
The pilot and two passengers suffered injuries but no one on the ground was hurt.

Plane lands on Flagler Highway

Airport database phase 1 finalized

We’re happy to announce that phase 1 of our Florida airport database is complete.
The database includes all the public-access airports in Florida, with the most recent FAA data (from April).
Each airport has a page which includes the following:

Airport name, identifier, location
Pattern altitude, airport elevation, etc.
Runway number(s), length, width, and type (asphalt, etc.)
CTAF, UNICOM, tower, and [...]
